Who We Are

We are Fletchwise, an independent archery site. We publish gear guides, comparisons and how-to articles, and we make custom sewn archery gear to order — quivers, bow cases and bow bags, and arm guards personalised with names, lettering, club crests and team logos. Our website address is: https://fletchwise.com. You can reach us via the Contact page.

What Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you fill out our enquiry form, including your name, email address, the type and quantity of gear you are asking about, and any details you choose to share about your order, club or team.

If you go ahead with a custom order, we will also collect the information needed to produce and ship it — your shipping address, phone number where the carrier requires one, and any artwork, logos, names or lists you send us for personalisation.

We do not collect or store payment card details. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers, and we only see confirmation that a payment was made.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used in aggregate to understand site traffic and improve the site.

Artwork, Names and Team Rosters

Custom orders often involve personal details of other people — a list of archers’ names for a team order, or a club or school logo. Please note:

  • We use it only to make your order. Names and artwork you send are used to produce the embroidery or lettering you asked for, and nothing else. We do not add them to a mailing list or use them in marketing.
  • You confirm you are allowed to share it. If you send us names of team members — including minors — or a logo belonging to a school, club or organisation, you confirm you have permission to share those details with us for the purpose of producing the order.
  • We do not publish your artwork without asking. We will not use your club crest, team logo or finished order in our own photos, site or social posts unless you give us permission.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to answer your enquiry, prepare a written quote and mockup, produce and ship your order, and communicate with you about an order in progress. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who We Share Your Information With

We are a small operation and we work with production partners. To fulfil a custom order, we share the minimum information needed with:

  • Our production partner — the artwork or names to be embroidered, and the shipping address, so your order can be made and sent to you.
  • Shipping carriers — your name, address and, where required, phone number or email for delivery notifications.
  • Service providers — our hosting provider, contact form processor, email provider and analytics tool, each acting under its own privacy policy.

We do not share your information with anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are legally required to.

International Transfers

Custom gear is produced outside the United States, so if you place a custom order, the information needed to make and ship it — including your name, shipping address and any artwork or names for personalisation — will be transferred to and processed by our production partner abroad. If you only browse the site or send a general question, no such transfer takes place.

Cookies

Session cookies: Temporary cookies set when you visit the site to enable basic site functionality. These expire when you close your browser.

Analytics cookies: If we use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), anonymised cookies may be set to help us understand aggregate visitor behaviour. You can opt out via your browser settings or through the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Affiliate Links and Advertising

Our guides and reviews contain no affiliate links, no sponsored placements and no third-party advertising. Nobody pays us to recommend a bow, a target or a brand. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly on the page in question and update this policy.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (such as videos or social media posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you visited those websites directly. Those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, subject to their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

We retain enquiry form submissions and order correspondence for as long as necessary to serve you and to comply with applicable legal and tax obligations. Artwork and personalisation files are kept while there is a live or repeat order relationship — for example, so a club can reorder the same crest next season — and deleted on request. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our records except where retention is required by law or for a legitimate business purpose such as dispute resolution.

Your Rights

If you have submitted information to us, you have the following rights:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data, including any stored artwork, subject to any legal or contractual obligations.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect information submitted to us, including the use of HTTPS encryption on all pages. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or from our site.

Children’s Privacy

Our site and services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Youth and school archery is a real part of what we do, so orders for junior archers are normally placed by a parent, coach or club administrator, who provides any names needed for personalisation. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
